Rebecca Bidwell, Head of Business Development - Director

Rebecca has over 7 years’ experience as a Litigation Executive/Legal Executive. Over 10 years’ experience as a Costs Draftsman and over 8 years’ managerial experience.

Rebecca began her legal career in 2002. Rebecca was employed as a Fee Earner for CS2 Lawyers (now Spencers Solicitors) where she gained experience in high value civil litigation cases.

Rebecca developed a keen interest in costs and additionally accepted the role of Cost Negotiator for a team of Fee Earners. During this time Rebecca studied and qualified as a Legal Executive in addition to working part time at weekends to save a deposit for her first house.

In early 2008 Rebecca made the move to John M Hayes Ltd to specialise in costs full time. Following her training period she was offered the Management position at the Norwich office. After a year managing the Norwich office Rebecca accepted the position of opening and managing the new flagship Central London office. Rebecca feels these positions strengthened her costing knowledge, particularly as she was the main point of contact for frequent costs queries in the London area. During her time as Regional Manager, Rebecca maintained a costing caseload of both inter partes and legally aided matters.

Rebecca started Bidwell Henderson with Mark and Ann in 2014 with a view to providing consistently exceptional costing services to their clients.

Rebecca has a particular interest in legal aid cases where an inter partes costs order is awarded and provides regular advice and assistance to clients in this regard.

Most of Rebecca’s time is spent on business development, marketing and recruitment, with the assistance of Chelsea Allcock.
