Name: Liam Fernihough
Qualifications: Law Degree & LPC
Cost Drafting Experience: 7 years
After finishing my Law degree and LPC at LJMU, I trained as a Law Costs Draftsman at an external cost drafting company in Warrington. From there, I went on to work in a busy in-house costing department for a firm of Solicitors in Liverpool City Centre., dealing largely with inter partes RTA’s, EL, PL and Clinical Negligence claims. I spent a year in-house before moving to Derby and again working externally, where I gained experience in a variety of Legal Aid billing, such as immigration, housing, care and family cases. I also continued to deal with a wide range of inter partes bills, preparing Replies to Points of Dispute, setting down matters for provisional/detailed assessment and completing post-assessment work.
